I call it down, see his A9, make a note that he cold calls that crap, kick the cat and move on.

I think the pot is just big enough that you'll see a smaller pocket pair or stone cold bluff here enough times to make it profitable.

I'm folding the turn unless you've got some other information.

Fold on turn or call down. A fold on the river is absurd. I prefer to fold on the turn against an unknown opponent and this pot-size.

I changed my mind: The pot is to large to lay down (just haven't add the BBs that are already in the pot on the turn)

Yeah, I never wondered about calling the river since I went that far. It was when he raised me after the second 9 dropped I got iffy about things.

Not to much of a read. Played less than one orbit. MP3 had 40 VP$IP, no early aggression or raising.

If Villain is a reasonably sane player I don't think it's such a bad calldown.

He coldcalled preflop so there aren't many hands that complete the boat he could have.. and he didnt raise preflop or flop, so a higher overpair than yours seems unlikely. There are a lot of big aces he could be playing as well as something like 88 or 77.

If villain is looser, you need to be more worried about the boat. (If he's loose passive, its an easy muck. Loose agressive he could still be coming at you with an ace.)

Against an unknown call this down. A lone ace or lower pocket pair will make this play often enough.
