Aggressor isn't particularly bright. Beyond that, I don't have much of a read on him: he's been passive in general preflop, but plays most of his hands (suited connectors and gappers are candidates for coldcalls, as are any broadways). Postflop aggression is relatively unknown.

Looks like you get an A for table selection.

Hmmm. You have to wonder what he's capping with that isn't a straight, even though you have two of the 7's. Hopefully it's not a set that filled up. I don't think the chance he'll play 2 pair like this is high enough to warrant going bonkers on the river. Hell, that two pair might have even bitten you in the ass. I think your river play is good.

Assuming you are not chopping you probably lose: T7, 99, 88, 66, 55, 95, 85, and 65 are all on the table.

Meanwhile 98, 96, and 86 are going to view that second five as a disaster card and probably won't even bet.

Well, that pretty much summed up exactly what I was thinking. If I bet, I'm getting raised by boats, better straights, and the same straight. If I check, I think he'll bet better hands but I also think he'll desperately bet 86s, 96s, and 98s.

So I guess check-calling is ok. Just felt a bit weird at the time.
