View Full Version : THAT'S why you don't play 7-2os (or slowplay AA)

Not much thinking content--just a comment on people trying to get clever....

So, I'm playing a $20 HU match the other day.

The blinds are 200-400. I've got about 8600TC, the opponent 12400TC.

I'm in the BB, and am dealt I'm dealt AcAd.

Villain raises to 800. I make it 2800 to go and he calls.

Board comes 9d 7s 2c.

Villain had been playing just about anything, and was hitting often.

He leads out 800, and I promptly push. I got that sickening feeling when he immediately called and flipped 7-2os.

I got up from the computer and started walking away. I looked back to see running 3s, along with messages about me having having made a huge suckout, and how terrible a player I am, etc.

Fully aware that I did indeed hit one of only 8 outs on the river, I informed him that he raised 7-2os and stuck with it after being reraised, and that set him off. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Then it was all-in after all-in, with taunts to take him on and suck out again. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I LOVE when players go on tilt--I just sat and waited for a decent A and cleaned up. A-Jd finished off K-Tos.
