I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a poker site other than Party Poker that has $10/10 person SNGs with either longer blind periods or more starting chips. I'd also like to be able to multitable. I've found that I do much better on Pacific Pokers' tournaments because of the 15 minute blind periods. Unfortunately you can't multitable. Any suggesstions?

PokerStars has $10/9 person sngs. They have 10 minute blinds (5 minutes if you do a turbo sng) and 1500 starting chips.

How much better would you say the level of competition is in the PokerStars tournaments compared to Party Poker?

I use pokerroom 10+1's with 1500 starting chips, but blinds go up every 10 hands, not timed.

Sorry this may sound like a silly question but what exactly is a rakeback. Also, how do i sign up for it at Ultimate Bet?

go to the classifieds and select an affiliate. UB is pretty standard at 25%. You need to sign follow the instructions line for line when signing up for the site.

Sorry my previous post was prior to reading your reply.

You will not find a rakeback for $$ for PS's.

The level of play at Poker Stars will be better, but at the $10 level the difference really shouldn't affect you much.

The major difference between Party/skins and Poker Stars at the $10 level is that more of the players at Poker Stars want to 'play poker'. I saw a lot less shoving all-in preflop when I played at that level.

But be aware that a SnG at Poker Stars (non-turbo) will take nearly twice as long to play as one played at Party/skins. My average time to complete a SnG at Party/skins is a bit under 45 minutes. Playing a standard SnG at Poker Stars usually lasted about 75 minutes (I no longer play in the standard SnGs at PS, but the structure hasn't changed so the time should still be correct).

The slightly weaker competition and much faster playing times is why most people choose Party over Poker Stars.

I personally like Stars and Full Tilt for SNGs. Both are 10+1 for 9 person tables but the play is much better than the crap shoot at Party. Good luck and do sign up for the rake back!

Not saying it's a great site or anything, but Absolute has an interesting SNG structure. 9 seats, T1500 chips, and blinds go up every 20 hands, which makes it good for a patient player, bad for those who want to crank out lots of SNGs.
