Villian is new to the table, and hasn't shown down any hands, so no reads. I folded because i figured the check/call on the flop most likely meant he had A4 and was slowplaying trips, even though he only min-raised me, I can't really see anything i beat. Good fold?

I check behind on the turn and consider calling a small river bet. You sure as hell shouldn't bet $3; that gives away a lot of weakness. I would fold to the minraise too, as I can't see anything you beat doing that.

If he shows you A4, you are probably getting implied odds to call for your two outs. But yes, I think this is an easy check turn, call river.

If you don't have a read on him how can you put him on A4? How about J good kicker? Keep in mind, your continuation bet was pretty small (less than 1/2 the pot) and your turn bet was a waste of time. He minraises you so it's not like he's pushing.

I check behind on the turn and likely check/fold the river depending. Even if it's a brick, too many cards beat you.
