I believe that the Dodgers are a better team than the Padres. Its early still, the Dodgers are on a losing streak and the Padres are on a winning streak. But all in all it doesn't matter, because the NL west has been a freaking joke for years.

Another Dodger fan in SD... SWEET!!!!!! How much do you hate the local sports talk radio. The Pads have been a AAA since 1998 (and from 1985 - 1997), they are in 1st place for a day and people are already trying to figure out how they are going to get Series Tix... its insane down here. I guess you get that way when you suck so hard for so long.

The Padres and their fans can have an opinion when their team actually wins a WS (translation "NEVER!").

Also.. my favorite thing about going to Padres games is that they have the number 6 retired .. as in Garvey .. as in lifetime Dodger that played 2 years in SD and has the biggest hit in the teams sorry ass history. Can't beat the Dodgers, steal their 1stbaseman and hope he provides a spark. Also, this is the organization/town that actually debated retiring Ken Caminitis jersey. Don't let me get started on this.

Dude, the Padres and Dodgers are playing the same exact teams right now. Pads took 3 out of 4 from the cardinals, dodgers took 1 out of four. Dodgers lost series to Braves, we are up 1-0. We swept the marlins, Dodgers already lost the first game of that series.

Were us Dodger fans (yes, poor grammar) fired up when we got off to a really hot start -- hell yes we were! Did you see a "Official 2004 Dodgers World Series or Bust" thread from any of us? NO. Why? Because we've been here before and we understand that June and July are loooonnnngggg months and that if your team is still alive August and September are incredibly enjoyable. I realize that you Pads fans haven't had a team in contention since '98 and then you have to go back to '84 so thats twice in the lifetime of half the readers of this board. Trust me, relax, its just May and there's LOTS of baseball to be played.

Do enjoy the hot streak though, they don't come often and they are fun.
