No, it was just a video posted here twice in the last 2 days, and now it's in UD. It's my understanding that this usage is pretty much only in WoW, so it's rather unimportant. If anyone ever tells me I "Pulled a Leeroy," I'm going to punch them in the ovaries.

That's what makes it so funny to me. The others are all serious, they figure their odds to the nearest tenth, then this guy just goes "times up, and screws it up for them". I don't thin they like Leroy from the beginning of this, and I bet he has done similar things in the past. Different kinds of humor I guess.

My WoW playing friend told me this is the 7th time this guild has tried to do this, and they were planning on skipping the room this time, because no one needed anything from it--Except Leeroy, who wanted some kind of armor that he didn't actually need. He was kicked from the guild for doing this (cause it apparently wasn't the first time).

Its just funny when someone who takes something that is basically pointless so seriously and runs into a Leeroy

The temptation to pull a Leeroy can be almost unbearable sometimes. Almost everybody does it once in a rare while in groups just for a laugh. But the real temptation is in big raids, where it would be a catastrophe, especially in games like EQ, where you have to get lucky and maybe fight for access to a mob in the first place.

Hearing all the dorks here recount the video is funny, not cuz they are dorks, but because they tell it funny, and it makes it sound funny. But I watched it and was like "I dont get it...that was sooo not funny"

I guess this is the exact opposite of a "I guess you had to be there" funny story.
