PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

UTG+1 (t15465)
MP1 (t5295)
MP2 (t12689)
MP3 (t19480)
Hero (t16285)
Button (t6570)
SB (t17205)
BB (t20070)
UTG (t13531)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls t200, MP1 calls t200, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t825</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB calls t600, <font color="#CC3333">UTG+1 raises to t15465</font>, MP1 folds, Hero folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: t17265

utg+1 hadn't done anything noticable yet. We were both well above average stack size. I didn't see her making this play with AK or JJ or something. Is this terribly weak-tight?

95% of the time this is AK.

Sorry to bother everyone with what might be an easy hand but I'd like to know if the consensus is really to call this huge overbet.

It sure does look like AA, doesn't it? However, given your position, your bet may look like a scoop the limpers bet... AK and JJ are both very possible. If you can say that villian plays AK,AA,KK,JJ the same way here, you are dominating 6 times, dominated 12 times, and 5:4 16 times (add in a few random hands too)... which, given the money in the pot.. which is relatively small compared to your stacks... makes this slightly +EV. Whatever you decide to do here is ok with me.

I think that I have seen this play with some very questionable hands, AA, KK are not the only hands people will make this play with. Ive seen with as little as a baby pair. I definitely call this- but I dont think folding is neccesarily weak-tight.

fugly. I hate all options you can take here. Fold is probabty best, though. Yuck. I doubt he does this with JJ- so your EV is not good.

I don't want to seem sexist or anything, but if a girl pulled this move, I would call 100% of the time. ESPECIALLY online.

Since you failed to explain why you think that, then you probably have managed to come accress as sexist.

I think it depends hugely on your read. Villain is trying to represent AA, since I don't think any other hands will be played sensibly this way. But I have folded a big hand in a similar situation and had KQo or something flashed at me by a good player.
I probably take my time and then fold unless I have a pretty good read. If he has pulled this with a less-than-premium hand, he deserves to sweat a little /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Really CSC? I think it looks like 77... Limper pushes 15k to win 2k, when's the last time you did that with AA preflop? I'd call really quickly here and expect to be shown an underpair quite often.

Are you guys not reading this the same as me??? Limp for 200, it gets raised to 825, and the original limper pushes 15k in?!?!?! I'd beat him/her into the pot.

Looks more like AK, JJ-TT. I call here.

I would call this quickly. AA, KK dominate you, but unless you have seen him over bet his strong hands, I cannot put him on it. AK is a coin flip but is not a made hand. Also, with 4 other preflop callers I put someone else on an A or K which would decrease his outs even further.

All other hands you dominate. Call already.

See, in a deep stacked, low limit online rebuy I'd pull this move with AA just because I know no one believes it. That's why it works that well.

I dunno, every option seems asstacular. Meh, I probably shrug and fold.

Which is why it isn't a horrible move w/ AA vs a thinking player.
