I had data enough on both to know they were both very loose, very aggressive LA's; the first passive postflop, the second ~2.

Hero raises, 1 fold, UTG+2 3-bets, 3 folds, CO caps, 1 fold, SB calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls $1.53 (All-In).

Flop: (16.76 SB) 9/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/club.gif (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

Turn: (8.38 BB) 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero bets, CO calls, SB calls.

And I usually think I'm too straightforward. Not one, but TWO failed checkraises. Fire when ready.

Here versus a field of LPP's. UTG is a current favorite on the buddy list, 60/1/.5 and sees 42% of showdowns.

I check a lot of rivers with hands that are probably good to elicit a bluff / lose the minimum, but not when there's this little likelihood I am beat. I can only suppose I forgot I was closing the action (doh- I'm working up to 3 tables nowadays)

I would have bet the flop hoping that CO helps me protect my hand.

There's probably no point in trying to check-raise the river. You have one person left to act behind you, the board hasn't improved anyone and the 8 isn't a terribly scary card for any hand you might be holding, except for JT. Just bet and be done with it.

In hand 2, I initially thought this should be an easy value bet. What I can't decide is what hands BB will cold-call with on the flop. Is he more likely to have a 6 and an OESD, or a pair? Maybe a 9 for a gutshot, which paired him up. I'm not as concerned about the flush or the Q. I think I like betting and folding to a c/r, as there might be a lot of pair an LP has here that will call.

1: OK, that was very likely to occur, and I would have gotten in a bet. The attempted c/r on the river was stupid in view of the previous action and the board?

SB has K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif and MHIG. Need to work harder on making my boat outs 3-suit the board.

Always nice to win after botching the hand, provided I learn something.
