So, I was looking at the 7-stud on Paradise and notice that they use an eight player table. How many players does Party or PokerStars sit?

I ask because I was wondering if a group of 2+2ers were interested in a little experiment:

8 players * 7 cards = 56 cards.... um, there are only 52 playable. I figure they count on dealing out folded cards at the end, but what if nobody folds?

Anybody interested in taking over a low cost table and agreeing that nobody folds for one hand?

Stars seats 8 as well, as do the casinos. If there are not enough cards in the deck for the remianing players on 7th street (which is a rare occasion, but if you find a table where this occurs more than normal, you better jump in ASAP), the dealer only exposes a single "community card" that everyone shares as their 7th street card.

8 players is standard for casino 7-card stud as well.

If noone folds instead of the usual river cards a single card is dealt face-up in the middle of the table and is a community card for all players. Would indicate some interesting strategies but it never actually happens...

So is this what PokerStars actually does?

You have to understand that this is a rare occurance. I played an entire multi-table Stud Hi/Lo tourney last week with over 680 players at Stars and not once did I see this occur in the 5+ hours.

I know this is rare. I am a software developer with an odd penchant for "corner cases". I was just curious.
