sucks the big one for sure, but i'd give it up. still early & still T1000 to do damage with.

the draw assumption isn't a bad read, as you didn't get reraised on the flop or turn. but you've seen boards called down like this with middle pair or TPshittyK too. a weak, but defiant BB saying to himself "haha, you missed your Ace...you're not stealing this pot from me!".

curious as to what he hit on the river (if anything).

the flop call makes you think spade draw. maybe he has a Q or 10.

the turn call is even more suprising, because had he made his hand yet, you would have been reraised. would he now be putting in a total of 1/3 of his stack on that draw still? the Q sounds more likely with bad kicker. BUT...if he's disciplined enough to not reraise with TPshittyK, what the heck is he doing calling the3xBB PF raise? protecting early? maybe.

possible the river gave him 2 pair - but i doubt it. hat's off to BB bold move on the river. i give it to him.

ps. don't know that it would have effected the outcome, but i've been playing AA/KK much more aggressive PF and on the flop. 5-6xBB PF and as much as 1.5xpot on flop. with just you and him though, it's understandable to want some action with AA.

ok i dont know if you will believe me or not.. but he had A2 with no flush draw... /images/graemlins/confused.gif maybe i'll play my AAKK more agressive early

wow!! talk about sucking out!!

just one of those things...a bad play by a bad player gone really really good.

i guess he was hell bent on calling you down (obviously!), just finding it within you to click the 'fold' button on the river - that's the hard part /images/graemlins/wink.gif

At the lower buy-ins, played fine IMO. I would generally raise a little more PF simply because they'll call it (75-100 is standard for me)

maybe i should just go all in.. at these limits it seems like they will alway call. once i had AA all in with 3 callers preflop. owell.. not sure if playing low limits is helping or hurting. cant lose much tho

You know...that's not a half bad idea. I've done that a few times myself - especially in the early levels. Only with AA/KK though. IMO it's not as likely to get a call coming from your Button position, but UTG (or near)...let it rip. Funny how often you'll see a call from AK, AQ thinking "look at this non-flop-playing-fool OBVIOUSLY overbetting with his damn 3-3. I'll show him!".

Looks like you played it good to me but on the end I think you have to lay it down with that many chips left to play with and I think theres too many hands he could have that would have you beat right there.

This is a horrible idea. Just raise more pre-flop, 75-120. That way your pot size bet on the flop will be bigger. The turn isn't a scary card, so just push.
