i dont own any baseball jerseys but wanna buy a yankees one so that when i go to the twins yankees game in a couple weeks I can rival Schneids' Santana jersey. The one's I'm looking at all have #s for sizes like 40, 44, 48 etc. I usually wear an XL for a shirt. I'm 6'5" 190. What jersey size do you suggest?

This is on the Yankees website in their 'store' section. As a baseball fan I would like to say that this is just wrong.

If you do this then you deserve to die. If you don't know what I'm bitching about then it is even worse:

I agree. I will be purchasing the true version of a Yankees Jersey. Back to the size thing though. I wanna buy one, but I need to know what size I should buy.

You have the distinct disadvantage of being tall and skinny. I think the larger the size, the longer the fit, but it may be too loose on you. My suggestion is gain 20 lbs quickly and go try them on at Champs or something.

if they come in 40, 44, and 48, with your build I'd opt for the 44.

what number are you planning on getting? As a Yankee fan, Jeter or Mo is an obvious choice, but now that Tino is back(is it the same number as before) that could be a good choice as well. I am biased though, because he use to play for the M's.

Getting #2 brings your masculinity into question. I'm sorry but it just does.

Go with the classics:
3 or 7

or my favorite:
15

edit: If you have to go active then you should try to find a player who has been a career yankee (getting 13 just seems gross) 42 seems like the only true option (especially for its historical significance as the only number retired by every team)

edit2: 51 is more than acceptable, he is a lifer. 20 (jorge) guess is acceptable...

I agree, there is something wrong (read: 13 year old girl) about 2. Go with 3 or 51.
