One of the greatest hands I have ever witnessed:

Hero is a friend of mine (and 2+2er), first time we've played poker together.
Villian is a regular at the club, about 60 years old. Very conservative player, likes to grumble after almost every hand ... "good luck playing cards like those" ... "when I'm in a hand you know I've got something good".

Anyway to the action ...
Blinds 5-5
Villian SB (~$1000)
Hero BB (~$800) - 9hts

UTG+1 calls
Folds around
Villian and Hero check

flop 7d 6d 2d

check, check, check

turn 8s

villian checks, hero bets 25, UTG+1 folds, villian calls

river kc

villian checks, hero bets 25 villian calls

hero shows straight to the 10, villian reveals AdJd for a flush to the A

Discuss ...

If you didn't get that the post was supposed to be funny I think you've got him beat in that category buddy.

Yes, I was in this hand and I got completely owned here. Villain was clearly a pro.

This same guy check called down a hand where he flopped a set of 5's and turned a boat.

No way I should bet that river, if he didn't have the nut flush he would have probably crapped his pants in fear and then folded on the flop, even without any betting. Only pro's know that move. If you don't understand that move, you should probably quit poker.
