Venting thread - I hate it when I get beat by a LP with Axo

#1 on my list of poker annoyances is when a fool cold calls my pre-flop bet with Axo, calls me down and beats my top-pair on the river even though he doesn't connect until 5th street.

Whats even more annoying is when I value bet the river, and get raised by the same player.

Of course not... the villain in that hand had to catch runner runner... that takes more skill than catching a single card on the river.

that's a lot less common suckout than someone spiking their kicker on the river. it's the frequency of the suckout which is so annoying.

If he's really breaking down, post this in Psychology. The SS forum is cluttered as it is. I'm not trying to be a tight-ass here, but I can't stand seeing good strategy posts get paged off by junk. If a newbie posted something like this, he would get flamed mercilessly. Also, posts like this display a fundamental misunderstanding about poker. I'm sure (I hope) TT knows this and it can be frustrating, but please spare us the bad beats.

Whats the matter, I'm not allowed to have a bad week? Just because I post a lot doesn't mean I am immune from experiencing frustration. Its been a brutal week filled with these types of minor beats that are weighing me down, sometimes it good to vent to get back on track - as long as you know exactly what it is.

OK... people... goto the options page, and set it so that the main page shows the last 99 active threads. (it seems most arent doing this)

Before I got out of school (when I had more time to read) I used to get up, and read every thread that was active since I went to bed. It took little effort. If a thread is dark, open it in a new window. And see if it is worth reading.
