Well, I filled up my AM SNG-spreadsheet today and will start filling up v2.3 tonight and figured I would share some stats becasue thats what people like to do when they reach certain milestones around here.

Anyway here are the stats.

ROI - 7% (Is this sustainable????)
ITM - 36%

Place Breakdown:
Finish % Number
1st 10.9% 82
2nd 12.9% 97
3rd 12.1% 91
4th 11.2% 84
5th 13.5% 101
6th 12.9% 97
7th 11.7% 88
8th 6.9% 52
9th 4.8% 36
10th 2.9% 22

Longest ITM Streak: 8 (Part of a 14/19 ITM run)
Longest OTM Streak: 11 (Part of a 18/19 OTM run)

Biggest Downswing: -$2,135

Yeah, I suck but at least I know it.

If great players can go 500 breaking even, you don't necessarily suck.

I was going to citanul you until I realized you were kidding.
A completely unsolicited comment but how do you feel about your bubble and heads up play?

How were your ROI stats and # of games played in the 10s, 20s and 30s just to compare for fun?

Yeah, I'd be interested to see those. How do you feel the game is different from the lower buyins, aside from stack size? I'm looking to start the 55s in a month or two.

You don't.....these numbers are good.

I've watched you play...you're very solid.

Good luck on your next 750.

Honestly, I never really played the 20s or 30s much. I had been playing limit poker "professionally" for about a year and was going through a bad stretch and decided to try and rebuild my BR by playing SNGs becasue I had had pretty good success when I had played them and heard that the varience was pretty low compared to what I had been playing. So even though I didn't have a roll to play 5/10 SH I still figured I had enough to play the 50s and liked having 1000 chips instead of 800 so I just jumped in there. I've had to step back during this stetch a few times and played stretches of the lower limit to rebuild my bankroll (I admit I probably play pretty beyond my BR more often than I should)

The stats I do have are something like:
20s - 205 Played, 16.2% ROI, 36.1% ITM
30s - 228 Played, 10.8% ROI, 34.6% (/images/graemlins/crazy.gif)ITM

That ITM # for the 30s is especially ugly. I started off on an incredibly bad run placing OOM in 29 of my first 33 with 8 4ths and I didn't make it back to breakeven until my 144th SNG.

Oddly enough this puts my $/SNG at:
20s: $3.56
30s: $3.58
50s: $3.87

I'm happy with my heads up play. It might not appear that its any good, but I go into heads up as the small stack the vast majority of the time. This of course indicates a leak, but I don't think its heads-up.

Same can sort of be said for my bubble play, I usually feel pretty confident when I make it to the bubble (I also think my bubble play has improved a lot over the past month). I really feel the weakest part of my game is the transition from the early game fold-fest to the bubble push fest. Those 25/50 and 50/100 levels can be brutal, especially if the other players aren't playing along and eliminating themselves.

16.2 in the 20s 10.8 in the 30s 7 in the 50s seems like the logical progression to your ROI. I expect that this could be YOUR number and can only get better from here. Congrats!!!

when i've played with you i've noticed that you might not be aggressive enough stealing on the bubble. i was going to ask if you normally get heads up as the short stack and then i think you mentioned that in a reply up a little further. I used to have this problem and then got a little overaggressive for a while and now I think I found a fairly happy medium. Its amazing what some extra aggression with 4-5 left can do for your heads up ration/roi.

Congrats on being a winner Nottom, seriously. Negative ROI is the only ROI that sucks.

Does anyone have stats of more than 700 SnGs at the 55 level (or higher) with greater than 20% ROI? I know it's supposed to be possible and widely accomplished, but I've never seen anyone actually say that they've done it. Just curious.

I'm pretty sure Easty does at the max 4tabling. It's not widely accomplished.

I'd find you a link where Eastbay discloses more exact numbers...but I don't have time atm.

I wouldn't be surprised if Raptor has at least one 700 STT stretch with 20% ROI or higher....FWIW.

I think Raptor has streches of 700 with every imaginable ROI.

Eastbay's post was 1272 tourneys with 24.21 ROI.

Eastbay is a bot though. I know this. I met him in person.

edit:

a nice quote from Eastbay's aforementioned post -

"ROI - 7% (Is this sustainable????)"

EXTREMELY unlikely. I think the chances you will hit exactly 7% longterm are lower than the chance me buying a lottery ticket tomorrow and winning millions.

Profit is profit so no you don't suck. You have some improving to do but it's a good start. -10% would suck.

Don't play so tight HU. If you never looked at your cards and pushed blind every SB, you'd probably do better than this.

Andre

EDIT...just saw your explanation for this above, think you may need to evaluate the bubble/itm play if you are always the shorty...bottom line is push more.
