First orbit at this table, so no reads yet. Was the river reraise ok?

You should definitely raise this preflop. Postflop was perfect though. I hope you took this one down!

I might be tempted to just flat call the raise on the river, given there are still five people in the pot and you don't have the nut flush. I would put him on Axs, but hindsight is a wonderful thing . . .

First, read the hand history again. Two players have already folded when it comes back to hero. Second, how can you put him on the nut flush? Wouldn't he play the same with the 3-high flush?

I raise before the flop and I play the rest exactly the same. Hopefully he wasn't slowplaying a set.

you can raise this hand preflop in any position

rest of the hand played perfect

yeah, that's about what I figured. I was a little worried when the board paired but given the action postflop I figured a set was unlikely and my only real danger was to an ace high flush - which was also quite unlikely. Unfortunately CO had Q4 for the rivered boat.

The cut off suddenly wakes up on the river having flat called all the way there. With a paired board, five players still in the pot and the possibility of running into the nut flush I can't see how a reraise on the river is prudent. Maybe I've been reading the wrong books . . .

I would 3bet this river and expect to see a smaller flush or trips from CO more often than the nut flush or a full house. A full house is particularly unlikely, since a set should have raised the turn.
