Was it a bad move to bet the turn? Should I have bet the river?

Fifth hand I played at this table. No reads yet on anyone.

Yes, I think you were correct to bet the turn. Your opponent has shown no strenght and only called, so I expect that he only had middle or bottom pair or a straight draw. If he had an Ace I would have expected him to raise you on the turn.

When he checks the river he has probably not improved and so you should bet again for value. By not betting the river you allow him to showdown a weak hand for free. If you get check-raised which is unlikely, you can throw your hand away if you are sure that he is a straight forward player, but otherwise call.

No and yes. Villain has shown zero strength so far and will call with much less than an A.

Looks fine, I would have bet the river for value.

Turn bet is fine, i think checking river is fine also, as he's calling more often with a winning hand then with a losing one.

no, I think betting the turn and river would have been a great idea. I hope you were folding to the checkraise on the turn

Easy river bet. At least think of the kittens.
