Why is it when you multi-table short-handed tables...

1) you need a larger bankroll.

2) variance is greater. Why?

Play is more aggressive in general ie you cant wait for the nuts and not take risks. You have to pay your blind more often so you must play worse hands.

the varience is greater bc you are in many more marginal situations where you are guessing more. shorthanded is much more tricky to learn to play well, which is why there arent that many cut and dry advice threads about SH'd play in NL.

so much has to do with your opponenents, your table image, past history etc etc.

I can only speak for Party Poker, but at least on their site, shorthanded tables are more rigged.

if it was more rigged, wouldn't that decrease variance?
