They have to protect themselves in case people deposit for the bonus then dump it all to a friend. Since they immediately credit you with the bonus money to play with, abuse is certainly a concern for them.

Sites IMO shouldn't be giving the bonus money up front to play with before meeting raked hand requirements. It's a formula for abuse.

That is a standard line for sportbooks. They could care less if you win or lose at poker.
