Starting Chips

Hero (Big Blind) 400
CO 150
Button 7500
SB 6950

Blinds are 150/300, ante is 100

After posting blinds and ante, we're down to this

Hero (bb) 50
CO 100
Dealer 7450
SB 6750

Pot = 650

Hero is dealt 5 /images/graemlins/heart.gif3 /images/graemlins/heart.gif

CO folds
Dealer calls
SB folds
Hero?

First, I assume that this is an easy check. There is little apparant advantage to me to toss in my last chip with this hand (and this is one of the rare cases where it might be right to check even with AA).

Hero checks; Dealer bets 300. Hero?

Is it better to call here or fold and take my chances on the next hand.

Ultimately, I decided to call all in. My thoughts were even if I win the next hand, CO may not be knocked out. Also, with 900 chips, there's a slim but real possibility of finishing 2nd or 1st. With 50 chips, it's almost 'miracle' time to get more than third.

However, I'm not sure that my EV isn't greater folding and taking my chance on the last chip.

Any thoughts?

PS -- this isn't a bad beat story -- Dealer had an A, but I caught a three on the river and went on to take third, but was wondering what is the correct play.
