Similar career paths. Same boss. Similar level of success pre-30 years old.

Even though Dan does not have the same level of education, he may have better people skills than Bobby did at the same period of his life.

What would Dan Negreanu have to do in order to become the next Bobby Baldwin?

I could only GIMP (http://www.gimp.org) it really quick (the name of the program really implies a lot about the quality of this particular edit though, I must say /images/graemlins/tongue.gif), but here you go:

Needless to say, I don't have anywhere near the l33t skills to add the glasses, but I get a bit of enjoyment with it as is /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Negreanu is good for poker. My guess is that more people have taken up poker in the last 2 years than in all the previous 30 years (Casino poker online and B& M). Negreanu has played a significant role in that development. All tournament Pro's as well as small and mid limit cash game pro's owe him a debt of gratitude.

I am probably splitting hairs here... but I don't think any single players contribution to poker growth the last three years is "significant" in comparison to the contribution of the production of WSOP by ESPN or the WPT.

Certainly the players are part of those productions, but it would not really matter if it was Daniel, Phil H, and Gus or Tom, Dick, and Harry in those telecasts. The producers do a great job of creating storylines for each show and can make a "star" out of anyone at anytime.

That said, I agree Daniel is a likeable fellow and I would never wish him anything but continued success.

Regarding OP question. I would be shocked if Daniel's career follows Baldwin's all that closely.

Though likeable and engaging, Daniel seems too naive and uneducated in his writings for him to be able to be an important decision maker in a big business - as I understand Baldwin is. Poker Ambassador, a purely public relations position, sounds about right for him.
