I think I played this okay. There was no way I could fold with the odds I was given. The only alternatives I could think of was pushing the preflop or on the flop. But they both seemed a bit too reckless. Comments?

This was a $22.

Really Fold PF? getting ~7:1 to see the flop.

Maybe a leak in my game but with those odds and those cards, I call also.

Aarrgh. How bad of a player is the button ? His call of >50% of his stack without shoving is suspicious. I see the point about the odds, tho, but still....245 to win 1535 preflop, OK. After the SB folds postflop, now it's 315 to win almost 2100 ? Aaargh. If you had shoved preflop, would the SB have folded to provide some dead money in the pot ? I think the decision is mostly about your read of the button. I almost wish the SB raised pre or postflop or at least called post flop, would make the decision easier. I vote for folding preflop while cursing the situation.

The play by the button here indicates either has you are beat really badly or the button is a really lousy player. Both situations warrants a fold.

Where do you fold and why?

You'd have to drop a stove over my head and threaten to rip my testicles off before getting me to fold preflop. And on the flop when im getting 10000:1 with 2 over cards and a very likely six clean outs (if im behind... weirder things have happened) HU.

If you do fold, when and why? BTW if he shows you he has AK preflop the correct play is to still call preflop.

If shorty is out, I will be pushing into the button a lot. If he is lousy (as in loose calling standards) I'd rather be taking the 7:1 odds now.

For those who think the skill level at the Party $22s is better than that of the 11s, here are the results of the hand (at least short stack played the hand well)...
