Listen, I have a question for you?

So, I am in a microlimit no limit online game. I have AT unsuited in the big blind. There is a caller to me for $0.50. I was pretty sure that I have a huge hand, so I raise him all-in for $48 more. He has me covered, but turns over the 5h4h. Well, I go four flush to my Ace and I take a bunch of his stack! But was it the right thing to do?

yerma, put a few dollars in your shoe. this way you will have some money to eat with later on. good luck

p.s. maybe you should read the forums more often so you can get an idea on how to play no limit. playing like this will surely get you broke.

No. However you played the hand better than your opponant. For one you are open-raising 96 times the blind. You are not going to called by a worse hand unless the guy is either is a total goob or accidently hits the wrong button. This is also the case when you have AA. Granted KK or QQ may call you, but I doubt it because your severely overbetting the pot.. I play mainly pot-limit so I don't run into this situation unless I'm in a tourney. A better strategy is to 3-5 times the blind.
