View Full Version : Using the "stop and go" with AK frequently.

I have been finding using a "stop and go" no matter what level the blinds are, if I have isolated down to one opponent with AK has had me winning 70%+ of the pots, whether it be in showdown if I hit a A or K on the flop or if my opponent folds.

Typically even if the flop comes J or Q high I'll jam the pot against one opponent, hoping to get him to fold an underpair or a weak Q if he has one.

I will only do this against one opponent. Obviously if I hit my K or A and the pot is about 35-40 % of my stack, I'll jam it against any number of opponents.

Is the stop and go strategy going to kill me in the long run though?
