No read on villain, i gave him credit for the 10 because a couple of people had already bet the turn, if it was HU i would have certainly called down

Small poy. No need to go to war. Either way is ok.

Cut off the action.

The question is are we good/draw out about 1 in 6 times here? That I don't know, and I hope someone who does elaborates.

I don't think a fold is horrible. I read would really help here. I would call down here most of the time, but expect to lose.

Unless you have a read that raiser is over aggressive on the turn, a fold seems fair enough here. The pot isn't huge, and it is going to cost you another BB if you have to call the river. With two players already in the lists, a bluff is less likely than if it were HU. Presumably it turned out that he was raising with a straight or flush draw and your hand would have been good if you stayed in?

Nice semi-bluff try by SB. It semi-worked.
Your play was fine.

A fold is fine. You're right that it would be an easy decision HU. Villain's range of hands has to include a flush and straight draws. Getting 8.5:1, acting last on the river, and possibly having the best hand, I think I would have called here, though.

Villain had J3o and bluffed me off the best hand.

I'm 3-betting that turn and looking for a one-bet showdown if SB caps.

You should've raised preflop to punish him for limping that crap, you also would've called down getting better odds. !!1 /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Just playing I like a check there. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wonder if villain is going to have a hand like that or some idiotic J6 1 in about 6 times here?

I listen too much to people who tell me I have problems and don't elaborate.

Or more appropriately, maybe I should call here. Either way, I'm not folding this.

You want to call here if you're not folding. If you are ahead they don't have many outs against you and you want to keep CO in padding the pot.

Ah well, you should note the hand, add your opponent to your buddies' list and raise the turn the next time you are in a similar situation. Now you have the read you lacked when you originally played the hand. Your opponent is a dolt.

That's a big time chip spew.

Presumably CO is on some sort of draw, so it doesn't do any harm to make him pay for it. If he folds, that is fine too.

I would call down HU. But with one more player it is less likely you are against a bluff. I've promised myself not to try to keep them honest in situations like this without reads . But sadly I lack discipline sometimes.
