I guess my only question is how often does LP call the turn bet with something that I beat? I am getting 6.7 to 1 to call.

It's a loose game and a lot of players will call a MP2 raise with any pair, Ax, JTs, KQs, KJ, KJs, etc.

So do I check and call the river or check and fold and why?

I think I played the rest of the hand well?

Thanks for your comments.

Why not bet and fold to a raise?

Good question. I guess I didn't bet out because I didn't get the feeling he was going to fold. So I was hoping for a free showdown if he had the best hand and for him to bet if he had the worst hand.

he's gonna call with an Ace no matter what

the point of you checking is to induce a bluff, then call

if you were checking with the intention of folding, then do it, if you check to induce a bluff, call him

I honestly had no idea what he had. I thought we probably had an A. Cold call before the flop and all, but it was a loose game and he could have cold called with a small pair or any of the hands I mentioned. So it sounds like you agree that betting out is the best play.

I think check folding the river is very wrong unless you know he is passive.

I like your line against an unknown.

I think bet/folding the river might be our best option there. One would think that if they had trips they'd raise the turn.an Ace might raise the turn too.

agreed. he'd also have to be extremely passive, lots of players sack it up and find a bluff in this spot.

So wait, what do we agree is the best line here? I am very curious.

I don't see a legitimate reason for a bet/fold, I check/call that river every time and induce a bluff from a mid pair.
