300 left, 90 pay, 10 pay well, Blinds are 50/100. Ave is 2.5k, I have 1k and get 66 folded to me in the CO. The 3 people to my left all have about 3.5k in chips but havn't been playing very loose.

A few hands later I have ATs UTG+1. Same table, I have 1200, folded to me, blinds 75/150.

66 is definitely a push.

The ATs hand I like to vary a little. Open pushing is certainly not a bad play, but if there are a couple of aggressive opponents behind me that may raise my limp with inferior hands, I may try to trap.

But you don't fold either, right?

66 is an extremely easy push here.

ATs.. I would probably push, you're low and need to get lucky.

I'd push the 6's fold the A10. I personally try not to push the medium A's from early position. If you get called you're likely dominated.

135 left. 90 pay. 10 pay well. Ave 6k I have 3.3k Blinds 150/300. I'm in hijack with 33 folded to me. 3 of the 4 stacks to my left have 13k+. Button has 1.8k. BB opens pretty loose, havn't seen him do much calling though. CO is tight.

Your move?

I go Tarzan with 66 and ATs here. I'd probably let my LAG side get the best of me and do the same with 33 and hope to get a coinflip or a steal, but I might be able to find a fold here if I don't think they will lay down 66-44 (they probably won't).

I don't really understand folding the ATs. You've got less than 10xBB, and it's time to gambool if you want to make anything out of the tourney. Sure you're screwed when you get called by AK-AJ, but sometimes you'll get called by KQ-KJ, or a lower pocket pair, or even Ax. And often, you'll win the pot right there.

Edit again: I guess folding 33 is right, I just have a bad habit of thinking I can steal any pot I want. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I would fold 33 unless moneying means 0 to you.

Hand 1 : easy push

Hand 2: Yuck. A10 and AJ always make the decisions with this size chipstack suck. I'm making my move depending on the table feel, respect EP raises are garnishing, my ability to steal in later positions with total garbage, etc.

Hand 3: muck it.

my addendum is it's hard to be monstrous +EV here

22 never calls /images/graemlins/tongue.gif nor A3.

muck the 33.

For those that advocate folding the AT, the deciding factor for me is that you are going to eat the blinds in 2 hands.
