I saw a few episodes on T.V. and i find it hilarious. Anyone know if they are on dvd somewhere? And are they only on SciFi?

Years ago, started off on Comedy Central. Then switched to Sci-Fi.

Yes, on DVD. Some of the best episodes were from the 94-95 timeframe. You can probably find them at a Suncoast Movie store or even search online.

Great show. The Joel Hodgson episodes are the best ones. You can probably download some episodes online since they always encouraged sharing of tapes when the show was still on the air.

I've got Mitchell on VHS. Still the the "Marooned" episode (similar to Apollo 13). Richard Crenna, Gene Hackman, and Gregory Peck. Crow's imitation of Peck's voice is spot on.

They are available on DVD, but they are not cheap.
Did you watch episodes with Joel or Mike?
There certainly is a significant difference (and most folks have a distinct preference--mine is Joel).

I was playing on UB against a guy named MST3Ksomething and we started talking about it. Turns out he's big into trading the tapes and has a huge collection. I got him to send me 14 of them for $2 an episode. It seems a lot of people are into collecting them and you can sell/trade the ones that Rhino hasn't released on DVD all you want.

I still remember classic lines from that episode:
"The Mustang culls the weaker members of the herd."

I'm pretty sure nobody prefers Mike. Mike wasn't bad though.

The best episode of MST3k was "City Limits"

i think it had Kim Catrall in it, and it's hilarious.

my brother has it taped on vhs somewhere....

Yes MST3K was great in the first few years. That was the best thing to come out of Hopkins Minnesota since Al Franken and Tom Davis.
