edit: Well, on a second look, she's maybe not as bright as my first impression indicated.

Her voice would sound better without all the doubling, but that's how it's done in that genre.

from these pics, she looks pretty. i wouldn't have had a clue who she was until this song was mentioned, though! still don't really know anything about her.

but i remember hearing this on the radio at work for the first time, i didn't even know the white stripes were as big as they were (i dont have cable and am a complete shut-in). so it was half cool because i was like, woah. and half lame, cuz it wasn't a very good cover.

Yeah I can't imagine how it could have been good, even though I've never heard it. In fact I did not even know of her or this cover's existence until this thread. (I have cable but I don't watch anything with commercials, ever.)

She's a kid with a phenomenal blues voice. Someday she'll have a deeper understanding of the lyrics, but right now (maybe forever) she's "just" a singer.

I hate that cover. She took a good song that was still getting air play and turned it into a piece 'o' [censored]. Now all I hear on the radio is her cover version, no one plays the White Stripe's version any more. She sucks...but I'd still do her.
