Help On Determining existence of Business - www.WorldPokerParty.com

Hi,

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

I am trying to determine if the following company has gone out of business? The company was/is the ECM Group.

They used to have the following websites:

www.getontheisland.com (http://www.getontheisland.com)
www.pokerisland.com (http://www.pokerisland.com)
www.wpptour.com (http://www.wpptour.com)
www.worldpokerparty.com (http://www.worldpokerparty.com)

This group is out of Ft worth Texas. All the websites are down and the phone numbers no longer work.

Any inside knowledge would be appreciated.

Don't know for sure, but I imagine Party/iGM would try to sue the pants off any other company using the words 'party' and 'poker' in their name.

well there are ways to sue internationally, but youre right. it does get sticky.

Sorry, no inside info, but perhaps the following might help you further your search.

I'm getting nothing, netwise, on "getontheisland.com" and "wpptour.com". I'd guess that they have been DNS-purged, and the change has already propagated to my DNS server. Of course it could be something else. You might want to check Google's cache and save any information from the most recent scan of those sites (Try the text-only cache. If the sites had a lot of graphics, the straight cache might not display properly or at all)

WPPTours (who the World Poker Tour [WPT} would probably be happy to sue) had the support phone number 877-536-3496, which was previously used by LeaseACasino.com (defunct for about a year), which was run by the ECM Group (as is worldpokerparty.com, see below) I think this is the company that you should be investigating (though there are quite a few legitimate companies by that name around the US/world)
