I don't know about first, but most recent was "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson. Had to download it as a favor to Schneids. What a jopker.

late 1996 if im not mistaken..... maybe late 1997.... memory is fuzzy back that far. i do remember being a very early user of napster, back when it was the best thing youd ever seen in your life =)

Yeah I used that back in 1999 before it caught on huge. I think it blew up in 2000 and was gone by 2001.

As for my first mp3 I actually downloaded it from some random website hosting "Top 20 songs".

Weird that not many other posters seem to remember the first MP3 they downloaded.

I have a funny story about this song.

I was at work (Home Depot) and this Mexican contractor's cellphone starts going off, and the ring tone is none other than Aqua - Barbie Girl. Everyone just started looking around giving a WTF look. I honestly do not think he knew what the song was. I guess he just liked the beat or something.

Very strange.
