Good News is their third best. I waver between The Moon and Antarctica and Lonesome Crowded West. The former's definitely a lot more accessible.

I agree. I'll ask again, you going to see Built to spill tonight? if not, why not?

Edit. I read your response.

This Is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About is the only one worth having, IMO.

I like "Dramamine" as much as the next guy, but no.

Hmm. I'm in more of an LCW kinda mood right now. Moon and Antarctica is too crisp and clear.

Holy crap I was going to make this same thread when I got home from work today. The only difference is I already have Good News, TM&A, and Lonesome Crowded West. I cruised the intarweb for a few minutes at work today and determined that the nextbest album is This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About and just went out and got it. Anybody care to tell me I should've got a different one?

Oh yeah, and someone should mention that you're not going to get an album full of Float On with any of their other albums. They're different from Good News.

I think all of them are fantastic except for the new one, which is somewhat mediocre. LCW and TM&A are probably my top two, but there's really an album for any mood.

What else are you MM fans listening to these days?

Currently playing in my stereo: Wilco, M. Ward, The Notwist, Okkervil River. MM fans would probably dig Okkervil's new album.

I think it's Lonesome Crowded West by a mile.

If I wasn't at school, I'd be at Irving Plaza too. All 3 nights, no less. ::sigh::
