MARGE (Mississippi Autumn Rec.Gambling Excursion) will be played at the Biloxi Grand Hotel and Casino the weekend of November 8-11. This is the third of hopefully many, annual MARGE meetings. Patterned after BARGE, ATLARGE, FARGO & ESCARGOT, we expect to draw entrants mainly from the south but we welcome poker players/internet enthusiasts from anywhere.
We have planned the following tournament schedule:
Thursday, November 8th, 7PM: Omaha High (Pot Limit), Biloxi Grand Poker Room, $70.00 + $10.00 Entry Fee.
Friday, November 9th, 5PM: TOC Style (Limit HE, Stud, Omaha/8), Biloxi Grand Poker Room, $70.00 + $10.00 Entry Fee.
Saturday, November 10th, 11am: No Limit Holdem Tournament, Biloxi Grand Poker Room, $100.00 + $10.00 Entry Fee.
A Banquet Room with cash bar is being arranged for Saturday evening for an awards presentation. Speaker: Barry Shulman, Card Player Magazine
Best All-Around Player Award. The player with the highest total point score in our (3) tournaments will be named Best All-Around Player and receive a trophy.
The (3) first place finishers and our Best All Around Player will "qualify" for an entry into the Tournament of Champions. So far we have 50 people registered. With over 2 months to go, I am sure we will fill all the tables.
The Biloxi Grand will hold a block of rooms at a rate of $85.00 per night. If you wish to stay at our Host Hotel please call 1-800-354-2450 and ask for the MARGE rate.
