Thanks.

I haven't decided which room will be the poker room yet btw. Moderately sized at 2817 sq ft with 4 br's plus a den for those who want details.

Don't worry, plans are already underway for the First Annual Clarkmeister Invitational. Combo poker tourney and pool party. ETA early October.

Nice house. Congrats.

As to the poker room, I suggest you think about the dining room. Here's why. We have a similar sized house (slightly smaller) but same bedrooms & den and with what looks like a somewhat similar kitchen layout. (before I get carried away w/ comparisons, our backyard is way worse.) Anyway, we have a kitchen that has a table and sitting area and a bar thing. We also have a dining room. I think in the approx 2.5 years we have been in the house we have used the dining room 3 times. Not counting using it for laundry. At most we have used it 6 times. I have been debating what to do with it. I think maybe we will leave it as a dining room, but I am going to get a big ass wine cellar thing in it to get some use out of it. If I wanted a poker room, the dining room would be it. And yes, that includes if I wanted a real poker table in it. I don't care if it looks funny. IMO our dining room is the spare tire in the house given how it is laid out and how we use it. Maybe you will be different, but start looking at it w/ poker in mind. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Congrats again.

Congrats! The pool and hot tub are very nice.

All you need now is a certain blue and orange flag flying out front, and it'll be perfect for you.

Backyard/pool looks stellar along with the rest of the home. Congradulations. Good choice.

Votes are split in my family if the door is "two dragons holding orbs" or a "devil face". The current/former owner claims it's totally custom, worth about 15k, and each door weighs over 200lbs. I don't know about all that, but it is a pretty sweet background for my beloved Koi Pond. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm likely to get one with folding legs that can be moved around where needed instead of having one as a permanent fixture. That's how Gabe has his set up, and let's be frank....anything Gabe does is likely to be the correct choice. To be honest, I'd put the average annual uses of the poker table at a rough equivalent of the number of dining room uses, maybe at 3x each.

I know that, but that's not the first thing many people see.

Oddly, you don't see either pattern in person if you don't know in advance. It's just a wierd pattern. You need to see it from a distance or in a photo to really get it the first time. I think it's tough to pick out because in person your eyes are drawn to the glass, not the wood, making the dragon design tough to see.

If you look at it as if the orbs were eyes and the red is the outline of the face it kind of looks like the Predator when it takes off its face shield and shows it's gnarly jaws.

Nice pad.

I love the entryway the way the stairs come down and The upper hall overlooks the entry. I've always liked that.

Funny, the door seems to fit you. It didn't suprise me that that design would be on your door.

How much sq footage in the house?

That granite is everywhere in the house. It's in every single bathroom and it frames a few of the doors. I have a buddy who owns a custom cabinet company so I'll be upgrading those cabinets within a year. Get some glass on the cupboard on the left, fix up the rest of them, and add in a backsplash.
