Other than betting a little more on the flop, looks good to me.

Just wonder if anyone hates giving a free card on the turn for the purpose of check raising?

The Boards not very threating there, I think a check to induce a bluff here is good. You let AJ and AQ push into you and any other hand you beat like QJ, K10, J10 or KK ect. If You bet AJ may fold along with everything except a hand that beats you or AQ.

Not really. The only real draw out there is 98. Other than that, I don't mind giving a free card to a 3 or 4-outer if there's a chance I can get more chips out of him on the river.

Obviously if the board is something like A/images/graemlins/club.gif9/images/graemlins/club.gif8/images/graemlins/heart.gif you either get all-in on the flop or lead the turn. But given the innocent board, checking is fine on the turn here.

I don't mind it. The board isn't really draw heavy unless he has 98, so it's unlikely that he's making a flop semi-bluff so he can take a free card if he so chooses.

I kind of like the semi-weak bet on the flop, since it looks like a probe bet to find out if he has an Ace or not.

Well I took out AQ here so it worked. Just wanted to see if anyone had a problem with the move.

Naw. This is probably the ideal time to do it.
