I'm sure this subject has been beat to death, but I'm curious what the board thinks of the competiton level at the $50 level at party poker. I was extremely suprised today when I "Poker Prophecy-ed" a couple of $50 tables I played at today. There were no stand-outs amongst the group, and there were several under 20% winners. Obviously two tables is an extremely small sample size, but who can comment of the level of play at $50 vs. $10 or $20. Having the $1000 stack would help me out I believe.
Thoughts,
Les

the higher you go, the less fish there are and more sharks there are

11's are easier than the 22's with care easier than the 33's which are easier than the 55's.

I OWN 50+5!!!!!!
I OWN 50+5!!!!!!
I OWN 50+5!!!!!!
I OWN 50+5!!!!!!

Sry, just happy as [censored] about placing first a bazillion times in the last 24-48 hours.

There are some that know what thier doing, but most of them are really bad. I just beat this guy in HU when he had a 4to1 chip advantage over me. I destroyed him. Before the flop, after the flop. I smeared him all over the table. They can't play for [censored].

So yes, the 50+5 game is fishy.

I played 10s and 20s once long ago. Then went to cash games for a long time so my memory is rusty. I did play some 30s the other day because I was out of 100s and 50s.

The 1000 chip stack helps alot. It means you don't have to start bluffing like a fiend until 100 or 200 chip blinds. That means that you can save your reputation as a conservative player for longer and that pays off big in extra fold equity later in the game.
