I don't know if there is any substance to this, and I haven't done any research.
But I feel like short stacked players tend to desperatley bet/bluff whatever hand they have.
I'm talking about people raising and going all-in with their last buck in 0.5/1 and so on.

My thinking was that with a marginal hand they are good to use for a raise to protect your hand or just to play any bullcrap pair against heads up.

Anyone else noticing these (or opposite) tendencies?

Just tell me that I'm seeing patterns where there really aren't any, or that short stacked players play tighter than normal or what ever your point of view is.

shortstacked players are often on tilt from losing their stack, or they come into the game intentionally shortstacked just looking to gamble (i do that in NL sometimes to blow off some steam), so as a broad generalization i think they tend to play looser.

Nope, I have definitely noticed this. Whenever I pick up a hand I'd normally raise, I start salivating when a short stacked player raises because I get to three bet.
