Probably been asked before but can't find [censored]. Anyway looks like some good prices, are these safe bets?

I don't see why not. Just check feedback.

I bought a Dell that came with a free 18" flat panel. I already had one so I bought the computer for $575 or something and sold the brand new flat panel for $250. Works for me! That might be what some of these people are doing.

The prices aren't great. They are deceptively low until minutes before bidding is over.

Oh and double check shipping prices. They can easily kill any savings you might get.

I saw a couple of Buy It Now's a couple of weeks ago for 420ish + 60 shipping brand new. I was tempted but I felt like I'd rather buy it from Dell for slightly more.

I just bought 2 on ebay and having a hard time with UPS trying to get them to Canada. Canadian prices on these monitors are extremely high so I went to ebay and bought 2 for $1004 shipped/w insuance. Now if the monitors would get here so I can start 8 tabling properly (im 8 tabling on a CRT right now) I'd be in heaven.
