Sorry to spam the boards but I think I'm gonna be posting a lot of hands today as action against a 30 buy-in downswing. Can I even call that a downswing?

Is this post missing important action?

Such as?

BTW, I check/fold this flop, especially since I failed to get it HU.

OP edited to show Hero push (wasn't in original post).

Thx.

I agree. At least check it through and see what happens on the turn. A push here seems like a lot of unnecessary risk.

with pushes like this i can understand why you are in a downswing. preflop with as bad as you are running, i either fold this or push it. one thing to note is that in the early stages of a sng, you need to be willing to give up jj, qq, and yes even kk, when an over card hits.

8 players left and UTG raises? Push or fold PF with your small stack.

Good advice -- Overcards to a high pair {censored] kill me in these things all the time, esp in the first orbit.

30 buy-in downswing. does that mean dropping $330 or having a loss after 30 games? I've had a 24 buy-in drop over about 400 games. /images/graemlins/frown.gif I hope that's not pushing the limits of simply 'variance'.

Usually I lower limits I'll limp with JJ unless I'm willing to do continuation bets with overcards or drop it if its raised to me.
