in the next couple weeks i'm planning on making the jump to 1/2.

When you multi-tablers move up, do you reduce the number of tables you play until you get used to the new level?

I've been making the move to 1/2 gradually, and I usually open two 1/2 tables, and two .50/1 tables.

Ya, ease into it. If you 4-table .5/1, play 3 tables of .5/1 and 1 table of 1/2, then 2 and 2, etc. until you're comfortable with all tables at the higher limit. If you can't beat 1/2 yet, the .5/1 tables will offset your losses, and your bankroll won't go down.

i recomend that u just play 1 table at the start and really focus at it. I did this when i moved up to 1/2 but then i noticed that they wasnt to diggrent for 0.5/1. Some games are thighter but the loos fishes is still there.

I don't disagree with any of these responses. Either play a single 1/2 table when you're multi-tabling, or just play one table of 1/2 and concentrate on reads.
Just don't start 4-tabling at your new limit.

I find 2 tables of full ring just as difficult as 1 table. I would say most players here would be better off playing 2 tables, and move up to the next limit once you are comfortably beating a game at 3 tables. My philosophy has changed, I think it's pointless to stay at a limit where you can easily beat it at 4 tables, since there is more learning and money to be made by moving up. I recently dropped down from 3 to 2 tables of 1/2 6 max and my game has improved exponentially since.

That's similar to what I found. When I'm only seeing the flop 25% of the time or so, I found that I got too bored with one table. I'd get distracted and tried to do something else rather than really focusing on it. For me, two tables kept me better focused on playing. YMMV, however.
