Inspired by the 'Amazing Race' post. Every time I see any part of 'Sex and the City', I want to smash my TV set. I have never seen a show that irritates me this way. It is just so fawking stupid I want to scream.

i cant even begin to describe how happy i am that other people hate friends. In all seriousnes, like the 15-30 people i regularly hang out with are all friends people, and i am a seinfeld guy and it is infuriating. I can't believe 30 people on the planet like friends. i need new friends....

Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, Will and Grace. I have seen 1/2 episode of each.

You need to be tied up 'A Clockwork Orange' style and forced to watch 'Sex and the City'. The only way I that I can give you a pass here is if you're a chick. Or gay. But not both.

I must admit that I have never watched 'American Idol', but I can't imagine anything worse than watching Sarah Jessica Parker and that horribly flat chested blonde chick talk about their clitorises (clitorii?--did I just invent a new name for a subdivision of a species?). It's not even close. One scene where she writes on her Mac about her goddam boyfriend that she isists on calling "Big" should send you off the deep end (I just found something worse!).

Yes, I have found my personal hell, and it would be having to watch 'Sex and the City' for all eternity. Ugh. I'll be good from here on out, I swear it.

Raymond and King of Queens are two of the smarter/funnier sitcoms to exist, since Seinfeld? They do not belong in this thread. Watch four episodes of King of Queens before Leah Remini got fat...you'll become a huge fan.

There's a whole article in Entertainment Weekly about what a crap show "According to Jim' is (starring Jim Belushi), and how it will be the highest rated comedy on TV once Everyone Loves Raymond is off the air. Apparantly it's really popular in the midwest, but it sucks big time.

I can understand not enjoying The OC, but it is far far from the worst show on TV. It has more witty dialogue in one episode than most shows have in a whole season.

Normally I'd agree, but it's been tripe for about the last 8 episodes and somewhat deserves to be listed here.

On broadcast TV, at least. Pandering to the lowest-common denominator has killed any semblance of creativity and originality, while PC-mania has erased the possibility of interesting or thought-provoking shows.

King of Queens and Raymond are two of the worst, wtf.

In what way is Raymond funny or smart? It's on while I eat my breakfast and it's yet to make me so much as break my grimace. Granted, I'm not at my best in the morning.

One Tree Hill

The writing sucks, the acting sucks, the music sucks and it has no soul. My wife loves it though, so she doesn't grouse when I play poker while she watches it. It's not completely without redeming quality. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I wouldn't say brilliant, but it's in the same category as King of the Hill. If I pass it, I'll watch until the commercials at which point I'll start roaming again.

And body, for that matter.

Maybe it's a generational thing. I remember people my parents age talking about how hilarious "Laugh-in" was. I saw a couple episodes and it was unfunny and uncomfortably bad.

Will and Grace. Is that still on? I don't have the problem with it having a gay character. The probem is that the show was supposedly a comedy and it wasn't the least bit funny. I'm not sure I ever managed to watch an episode all the way through.

ddubois
05-11-2005, 06:43 PM
I think Will and Grace was funny intially, but hasn't been for quite a while.

Everybody Loves Raymond has really great charatcers; particularly the interactions with the parents made that show hilarious. But it too has gotten somewhat stale.

If you want to really enjoy Lost, download all 20+ torrents, and watch them in order 2-5 at a time, back to back. You realyl get drawn into the story and the plot twists when you don't have 1-4 weeks between each episode. With its excellent production values, you feel like you are watching a really good, really long, movie.
