I think you have to bet the river.

You believe daryn calls with A high on the river?

Maybe, he also might fold 66 or 77. I think it will usually be a value bet though because in my experience, when people play against their friends or others whose games they know very well, there tends to be a higher than normal level of aggression and lower than normal level of giving credit for a hand.

I really don't mind a check on this board with this action.

Against unknowns, I think check-calling is right as neither of the obvious draws got there on the river. NL Soldier makes a good metagame point though. Also, against regulars I am not sure I want this hand shown down any more than I have to. Its probably pretty close all things considered.

Flush didn't get there, if he didn't have straight on flop, straight didn't get there...yeah, he might call with Ace high.

maybe i should have taken a different line vs. someone who gives me no respect like daryn. because my c/r the flop and lead turn line doesn't have any bluffing equity, it just lets him raise the turn and make it expensive for me. any other ideas on lines i can take? in this hand he had 66.

turn c/r.

the thing about a turn c/r is that it's inconsistent with a big isn't it? if i have any sort of a good made hand i have to c/r the flop because the board has a lot of draws, and a lot of scare cards come on turn. also if i have a real big hand i c/r the flop and hope to get action now cause it's an action flop. then if my hand is mediocre it's not strong enough to c/r turn.
