Villain is a fonk (74/4/2). This is the most erratic betting pattern I've ever seen so I just had to see what was going on. No?

So is your suggestion to fold to the turn bet?

A fish is betting. He might have nothing, but he bet into the flop bettor. You might be ahead, but if you are it's by a hair. If you're behind, you've got 6 outs to win. I don't think this hand is worth going to war -- I dump it on the turn.

Edit to say: another great reason to fold this turn is that the pot is rather small, and it's going to cost you two more to see the showdown.

Probably fold the river for sure. I hate it when they do that, even if it probably saves you money.

The only reason I wouldn't see the river is because the pot's small, and I'm having to pay 2SBs to see showdown. And I have no idea why you'd call the turn but fold on the river.

for starters, that's awesome.

i probably play the hand the same, although i might have seen this line before. he limps EP with a middling pocket pair, you raise and it gets HU. he then 3-bets hoping you're on just overcards and it will be easier to fold you off of your potential outs if he to limp reraises to represent AA/KK or some other fuckwad hand. they usually play this hand fast on the flop (trying to get you off overcards or whatever) so i don't get the flop check... possibly 66?

this doesn't seem erratic...it feels like he has a pocket pair.

Yeah, I think he's got 55, 77, or 88-ish type of hand. I'd consider folding the river because I don't think he has AJ or KQ, and you don't beat much else.

OK he had 89o. Did I get lucky?

Yeah, but if I was gonna piss jason_t style I should've capped preflop.

Cap preflop and get yer azz to showdown cheaply unimproved.

Calling the turn and folding the river is the worst line that comes immediately to mind.

I'd cap preflop here. I think more often than not this limp/reraise is junk.

With the way this played out and the numbers you gave on the opponent I can't believe how many people are advocating folding the river. I think this is a very easy river call on a 44467 board getting better than 7.5:1.

When I have a decent ace, I almost always call down a LLRer unimproved. I'm way more likely to assume they have complete BS when they try this than a hand. I'm never suprised to see stuff like Axs, Kxs, 78s, 44, ect.
