Hi,
I opened an account with Absolute and wanted max bonus, but the max deposit limit with visa was $500. What happens if I deposit $500 more using the same code (AP35)?

It's not worth bothering with it. Absolute has a reload bonus about once a week. Wait a few weeks, and when and if you get anywhere near clearing that bonus, reload. I just checked my mail box for the last 2 weeks, and I got reload bonus e-mails from them on 4/27, 4/30, 5/4, and 5/10.

There's usually a relaod on Wed, Sat, and Sun (and sometimes Fri), so you won't have to wait for long.

Might be a dumb question, but can someone who plays on Absolute explain to me why it is said that is so hard to clear bonuses. Thank you as I am thinking about opening an account there.

It is not hard to clear the bonuses at all. Many report that is works off at $10/hr at .50/1 and $1/2. My mileage is a little under that, but I still like playing at Absolute.

The usual complaints about Absolute are that the software is ugly and slow. I don't think that either is bad, but if you do, you can clean up the graphics, somewhat, by right clicking on a person's table image and choosing block. The software runs fine for me until I get to 500 hands, then it freezes. For $10/hr I am willing to reboot every 500 hands. I think that the games are softer and more profitable than Party.

if you figure about 50 raked hands per hour*table at full ring, you would need to earn 20 cents of bonus each time in order to reach $10/hr. that's what you'd get on a 5x party skin signup deal, but on absolute $1/2 it would be closer to $5/hr, so you may have been misquoted initially.

at 50c/$1 you should theoretically get 50 hands per hour raked at least 25c ($5 pot/5BB), but the site is so weak-tight most of the time that it's probably closer to 30-35/hr (I've heard as low as 25/hr sometimes). what makes 50c/$1 doubly bad on absolute is that they will rake 5-20 cents out of smaller pots but NOT award any bonus (in comparison, a site like Paradise with a similar bonus structure does not rake anything at 50c/$1 until $5).

at $1/2 limits, you can clear about $15/hr combined on 3 tables on Absolute. for 50c/$1 and 10x action I might suggest hitting up Prima or iPoker network for softer players and more favorable rake/bonus structure.

Because they come so fast that if you keep 2k to deposit/redeposit allowing you to max the weekley bonus offers you can't clear the bonus as fast as it's offered.

IOW, when you figure out how to play 11,500 hands of .50/1 & 1/2 a week (or 8,000 hands of 2/4 or better) on only 3 tables of slow playing software you can clear the total bonus every week.

BTW, thanks for bringing this up. Now, I've calculated the hands required. I have a LOOOOONG way to go. I clear about $30-40 a night (3-4hrs) 3 tabling.

I do $15 an hour 3 tabling 1/2 6 max.

Due to table availability, a good portion of that had .25/.50 tables in the mix. Pretty close to $10/hr even with 1/3 - 1/4 of the tables being < .50/1.
