Have only been sitting at the table for one orbit so no definite reads.

If your hand was good enough to bet the flop, it should be good enough to bet the turn here.

FYI, I normally check-raise a late bettor on the flop with this hand.

ya, I think this is kind of tough. I think I check and reevaluate when it comes back around.

Really? on the flop, his hand beat jx, and it doesn't anymore.

what happens if the bettor is not in late position? and a player in between calls?

what happens if you c/r, the field folds, and a blank comes on the turn, do you check again? what if you're bet into again?

sorry about these hypotheticals but these situations seem to happen very very often
