Tough day, I want to watch the Family Guy episode I downloaded last night but Windows Media Says it can't play the video because of "Error downloading Codec". It plays the audio..but no video. Seriously, a brother just wants to get his smoke on and watch some Family Guy...like now. This has happened to me before but usually just with my pone. Not a friggin 280 meg file. WTF. Please help me.

I'm assuming you downloaded the torrent and it's in .avi format?

If so, install the Kazaa lite codec pack (http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm) and you should be all set. The full version should cover it.

i downloaded the straight avi from limewire. I don't understand the deal with torrent. I downloaded a codec install from microsoft and no luck. I'll try this. Thanks for the help.

Just get the Matroska pack (Google for it). I've never had any problems with that pack of codecs.

[/ QUOTE ] Hooray!

Wonderwes: I just got the file off of torrentspy.com It's episode 402, the file doesn't have a title attached. Just search for family guy and it should be the one at the top.
