Note: If I had hit any part of this flop my intention was to move all in.

You don't call 29s in the BB to try to hit something. You call so you can try to steal on the flop and take it down. I'd rather push if I missed than if I hit.

That said, I fold preflop.

At this blind level you need to get your chips in FIRST not second. Fold and wait for a better spot.

you have 1175 in chips and you are calling a raise with 92s OOP...I think that was the biggest mistake. You can not re-steal here because of the pot odds. 675 in the pot and he would have to call 875. And after that the play you probably should have made was moving in on the flop or the turn. I like the turn better because he showed weakness on the flop. I have no clue how to work these damn converter things. What happened??

If you're going to play 92s here then push the flop. If you don't bet the flop, bet the turn. If you don't bet that, bet the river.

If you make it to the river as you did and get raised, then I guess you call...meh.

PS What the hell do you need the pimp chair for if it's making you play like this?!?! /images/graemlins/wink.gif

The pimp chair is only for taking bad beats.

I know I should have folded. I just hate folding to a mini-raise. Miniraises suck so much. I hate them. I want to kill them.

The default raise should be 3x the BB.

Min-raising is a very exploitable strategy in most cases....pick your spots.

I don't actually mind a stop n go here all that much against the right (fairly rare) opponent.

[/ QUOTE ]Then you reraise big if you think the mini-raise is a sign of weakness or pay him off if you try the same thing and it was merely bait that you leaped at. If you are prepared to deal with the ramifications of an over-the-top move, then reraise. If not, fold to the mini-raise and curse whilst doing so.
