Here is poll number 2, give Paradise Poker a star rating out of 5 stars. Polls will be conducted every few days until all major sites have been voted for. I will present the results in a month or so when voting has finished.

The Results of poll number 1 (pro poker), so far indicate and overall star rating of 1.5 stars.

When rating the site consider the following aspects

1) Games Offered
2) Limits and Rake
3) Site traffic
4) Game Playability
5) Software
6) Customer Service
7) Site Security

tommy, this is a great idea asking us to vote. i'm assuming you are going to incorporate these on your site.

the only thing i would suggest is perhaps allowing us to rank the sites for each category you offer.

i know that you are looking for us to "average" it out for our overall ranking of the site, but there will be times that i would like to give a site a 5 in one category and a 1 in another.

i know it will take longer to do these polls, but i think you would get some GREAT information from the anomolies. i.e. if everyone ranks "site x" a 5 in every category instead of cashouts for example, i would want to know that this is a weakness of an otherwise strong site.

the results also may help site operators that monitor this forum see where the players perceive the specific weaknesses, and therefore they can address it. these polls could help get a lot of problems resolved IMO.

Hi GrannyMae

Thanks for your input

Yes I am going to incorporate the ratings into my website (if I get sensible results).

I was thinking of doing it category by category, but threads seem to get lost very quickly under this new chat forum system. I was worried I would not get a enough responses to all the criteria. But I will try to incorporate your ideas in the next poll.

I was thinking of doing it category by category, but threads seem to get lost very quickly under this new chat forum system.

it certainly discourages polls like yours that will ge alot of votes, but few response posts.

well, there is a negative of the new thingy dingy

Perhaps they power-that-be (TM) could fix this problem by having responses to a poll treated the same way as a new post (i.e., they push the thread to the top of the heap too).

I think they should stop threads being sent to the top altogether. I hate reading stuff I already have before.

Otherwise people will start making pointless posts like this one to deliberately push their own thread to the top of the list (btw thats not what I am doing here).

perhaps we should do our own IG poll on whether we like this new format.

Beernutz?? can you handle this??
