I did a search and found no hits, so I'm hoping that this hasn't been posted before.

Long story short, one of my neighbors is using Apple's AirPort Express (http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/) to wirelessly play music from his PC. He showed how simple and compact the device is and I was intrigued by it. I'm not nearly into music as much as he is, but the idea of being able to play the music I have on my PC through my surround sound wirelessly is very appealing.

I did some research this weekend and also found this (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=38&prid=554) product from Linksys that achieves the same goal. Depending on where the products are purchased, the Apple can be any where from $30 to $70 more expensive (when you also include the need cable to connect the AirPort Express to the receiver).

Does anyone use one of these products or a different product that meets the same goal (playing music wirelessly)?

I use AX.
It works pretty well. I have an iBook G4. iTunes streams continuously no matter what I'm doing on my computer. The only time I have problems is when my internet connection craps out, which is pretty frequently at my pad.

All you need is a Y-cable (headphone to RCA) to hook up the AX to the receiver. Of course if you want to try to go into a digital input on the receiver I imagine it would be trickier. With the file compression on my files though, I'm sure it wouldn't make much of a difference.
