Ok, now last time I checked you had to be above the legally retarded intelligence minimum to use a computer and play poker online. Last time I checked $215 wasnt a penny poker game you play with Grandpa and Grandma. Somebody please tell me what the FU.CK this idiot is on (crack? herion? drunk as hell?)? What in God's name goes through someones head when they make that call (hmm.. the blinds are 10/15 and I have Ace high, I think I'm going to CALL his all in). I would pay my entire bankroll to know what exactly went through this retards head the moment he made the call. I would sell my house...

I'd take some time off, I don't think you will be winning for a while.
You will begin to get destroyed. You may still play smart, but your hands wont hold. Then you wont hit cards, and eventually youll go on tilt, making a call or two you normally wouldnt.I dont mean to sound stupid or like a lunatic but this is just a possible theory of mine.

The bottom line here...

I play poker as a pasttime that brings in some money. I dont play as a professional nor do I want to. I DO like to learn about poker and poker strategy interests me, BUT seeing as I am immature and have a few anger issues when it comes to poker those are two huge hurtles in the way. It frustrates me more than the average person when I sustain an awful beat or get made fun of by people on this board. Not all poker players can be emotionless or handle the swings so readily, that comes with maturity, which I obviously dont have right now. I'm trying to learn but I warning people here if I get a jackass response I'm going to give a jackass response right back. If you want to say some smug smart ass remark then keep it to yourself, just dont read my posts.

Hero should pump fist for getting it in with the best of it, and should make a note. Hero doesn't care because hero has the bankroll to play this level, and at least knows he's a winner at the next level with over 1k games with a strong ROI. Right?

I am not all that far removed from $11 myself. It wasn't meant as a poke at the players playing low limit but in a completely different direction.

But the lower the limit the more complaining about bad beats and wild accusations of "Party is rigged" you see. But of course most of the players at any level is behaving well.

He assumed you were a desperate short stack with a flush draw. Meanwhile he has ace high with a longshot straight draw. If he figured you for top or 2nd pair putting him on the draw, he would still have to assume his ace and jack are live and are 6 good outs, maybe more if he had hearts. He has your chip stack covered three times over, and who knows maybe he was 6-tabling in a gambling mood and decided to go for it.

I thought you were either on a flush draw with the King of clubs and Jack of clubs or you had AA. I'm ahead of 1 hand and have outs against the other. I was 50/50 to make the straight - either you make it or you don't. Plus, I'm fairly new to the $215s and I can't have these guys pushing me around. Hope this helps. Oh and by the way I lost those chips 3 hands later when I value called allin preflop with 33 versus KK. Oh well, I hope this helps.

The only conclusion that I can come to as to why people rant about these happenings is that they truly have no concept on where the money comes from in poker. I am sure you also berated him in chat after his victory over your QQ which is the second most thing that confuses me about some poker players. This isn't the worst or the first bad beat in poker history. Spend more time revising your play instead of trying to get a psycological profile on your opponents.

How can you people side with John who says it 50/50 to make the straight. Its actually 4 cards in the entire deck on the river... I am missing something or is this one of the worst calls in poker.

My buddies and I had a business idea to create a sarcasm font. This font would be multicolor and silly looking. I am beginnning to realize we really need this font for online poker chat and internet forums.

Maybe he was going to click the "check" auto button and accidentally called your push?

Don't laugh -- I did something similar (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=2331426&page=&view=&s b=5&o=&vc=1) the other day when I was playing too many tables (learned my lesson).

yes, that would be a good idea for some posts, but I really don't think your post needed it. I really was laughing in front of my comp when i read the "poker is easy" line at the end. We all mistakes, but its still sad that some people could read your post as serious.

Yes you probably should seeing as nearly every single post on this forum is complete sarcasm. Why dont we all just assume everything said at this forum is sarcasm that would be easier. I mean it really helps people play poker better, whats better than constructive sarcasm.. good old sarcasm.

oh and fu.ck you john, once again.

Ok...I am actually going to give this guy a serious post, as I think that may be what he needs.
First off, i hope you know that your ROI and ITMs over your last 10 games or whatever it is not sustainable...
Secondly, I used to have a severe anger problem much like punisher and it drove me crazy when people out drew me. It took me losing a 10K bankroll once then having a 7K downswing recently to fully understand that if people did not make horrid plays, I would not be able to make money. Now when people push or call my push with total crap, I just laugh at it when I lose and mark down another loss with no thought about it. After 1000 or so games you will start noticing that you are making money while I am sure the people that made the bad plays are not. I guess what I am saying here is that you should not be mad when you get outdrawn...it happens. That is part of the game. I used to wonder why I always got outdrawn so much...It is because I always get in with the best hand. I dont ever have the chance to outdraw people because I try not to get all my money in with a 2% chance of winning.
Thirdly, grow up. No one wants another random kid running around dissing people because they responded assholeishly to their post. Get over it...some people are asses and get mad when people post bad beat stories. As for how people call you with nothing, it is pretty simple...They dont know what they are doing. Be glad they dont.

Great post. I'll never post another bad beat on this forum again, I learned my lesson about how many sarcastic idiots are here who think they are funny. I'm on the downswing right now as you described. I am confident I will get out of it. Thanks for the encouragement.
